Hi, I'm Cheryl Gorey and I live north of Mackay, Central Queensland, Australia. I have owned and loved Irish Setters since 1988 when I got my first male Irish from Mary Clarke and Norm Clarke from the Rhuboda Kennel in Brisbane, Queensland. I then also bought a female from Rhuboda and bred my first litter in 1992.

Since then I have owned Irish Setters from the Kelliher, Brazenwinds, Linleymvorne and Nanyima Kennels.

Although I haven’t bred another litter, I am keen to start my new program with Bridget (Millcroft Moon Dreamer Imp UK) in 2013.

 My current dogs:

Bridget, Aus Ch. Millcroft Moon Dreamer (Imp. UK)
DOB: 18/02/2010

Bridget (Millcroft Moon Dreamer Imp. UK)
This beautiful little girl has come into our home in June, 2010.  Bridget born in Gloucester, England at the long established Millcroft Kennel on 18 February, 2010, travelled to Australia at 3 months of age and spent her month in quarantine and is now home with us.  She is just beautiful and such a lovely character.  A BIG Thank-you to June Walsh from Millcroft Kennel for sending such a beautiful girl to me.

Clancy, Aus Ch. Nanyima City Clan TD
DOB: 18/07/2008

Clancy at 3 years

Clancy at 2 years

Clancy's Pedigree

Clancy (Nanyima City Clan)
He is so full of love and fun and is having a great time keeping us all on our toes.  He has already had some in group awards and I am looking forward to a great future in the show ring, obedience and tracking.
2010 - Clancy wins 5 Intermediate in Group awards (from 6 shows).

Emby, Brazenwinds Maybe ET;
DOB: 04/12/1998

Emby retired and enjoying heir “old age”
just being at home

Emby (Brazenwinds Maybe ET)
Emby came to us as a field trained 2 year old.  She never enjoyed the showring but gained her Endurance Test Certificate with ease.  She was happier at home on our acreage than anywhere else.  Unfortunately she was unable to be a Mum, so she is now desexed and retired and Monty taught her well to "boss" me around when she wants a treat or some special attention.

My Dogs in Heaven (waiting at Rainbrow Bridge):
My very special Irish who have shared their lives with me and my family

Monty, Ch. Kelliher Regal Red CD. ET;
1998 - 2010

Spencer - Linleymvorne Little John
(tragically died on the road) – 2005-2006

Monty (Ch. Kelliher Regal Red CD ET)  What a character!  He was a joy to live with and was very at ease with his place in our home.  He retired after gaining his CD and Endurance Test Certificate and also many in group awards in the show ring.  He loved to "boss" me around when he thought he should be getting a treat!  We miss him so much and cherish our memories everyday!

Spencer (Linleymvorne Little John)  He was such a great Irish lad!  He was a special boy (my present and not my future).  He had so much fun in the short time he was with us and brought us so much joy. He had some breed and in group wins and was just starting some formal obedience when he was tragically taken from us in a road accident at 14 months.  We still miss him and think of him often.

Kathleen - Chepauryll Kathleen CD; - 1992 - 2005

Rhuby - Ch. Rhuboda Iberina CD - 1988 - 2000

Kathleen (Chepauryll Kathleen CD) Kaddy was the little girl who stayed home with me when I placed the rest of the litter.  She was a lovely girl, but an injury at 9 months took her out of the show ring.  She gained her CD title, but was happier sitting in the chair, than competing.

Rhuby (Ch. Rhuboda Iberina CD) was a great girl.  She enjoyed her outings, but would have been happy anywhere as long as she was with me.  She never excelled in the show ring, but enjoyed her obedience gaining her CD title and later had a healthy litter of 8 puppies.

Reny - Ch. Rhuboda Gairiaid CD - 1987 - 1997

Reny with his trophies - all won on the one night at an obedience trial in Proserpine.
Champion of Champions Competition;
Highest Scoring Visiting Dog;
Highest Score of the Night;
Highest Scoring Team Competition;
1st Place Novice Dog;

Reny (Ch. Rhuboda Gairiaid CD) was my first Irish.  We only wanted a pet, but I got hooked on obedience and later showing.  He was such a lovely boy.  Typical Irish character with that "look at me" attitude.  He excelled in the obedience ring and also won many in group awards in the show ring.
